Rain, Flooding Strand Kids At School

(Amesville, Ohio) Flooding from the remnants of Hurricane Ivan caused 115 students and about 30 staff to be stranded at the Amesville Elementary School Friday night. The situation sounds maybe a bit worse than it actually was.
[S]chool cooks made pizza, nachos and cookies for the students and about 30 employees at Amesville Elementary.

Students in preschool through fifth grade stayed busy by playing bingo and attending a dance before going to sleep about 10 p.m. on carpeted classroom floors, wrapped in blankets that the Red Cross brought in by boat, said school librarian Patti McKibben.
Sounds more like a massive slumber party than an emergency.
