Homemade Goodies Not Good Enough

(Forsyth County, Georgia) In another incremental, nanny-state step, the food police are going after Grandma's homemade treats.

From Ledger-Enquirer.com:
Students in Forsyth County may no longer be able to bring homemade cookies to share with their friends in school if the county school board votes to ban such goodies.

On Thursday night, the school board is expected to ban homemade treats from school parties. Students would still be allowed to bring their own brownies and cupcakes for themselves, but any treats for the class would have to be bought in a store.
To my knowledge, this will be the first time the government has stuck its intrusive nose into the area of home-cooking. What's next? Maybe in our collective future will be the requirement to consult precinct commissars prior to preparing a meal at home.
