Oklahoma Couple Held for Rape of Boy

(Sallisaw, Oklahoma) A man and wife couple from eastern Oklahoma have been charged with sex crimes allegedly committed on a 14-year-old boy.

From Sequoyah County Times:
Teresa Lea Delancy, 34, and Phillip Delancy, 38, each face charges of second-degree rape, lewd molestation, and a misdemeanor count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to court records filed Aug. 25. Teresa Delancy is currently being held in the Sequoyah County Jail in Sallisaw on a $200,000 bond and Phillip Delancy is being held on a $100,000 bond, jail officials said Friday.

Teresa Delancy is accused of performing a sex act on the boy and molesting him, while Phillip Delancy is accused of allowing the sexual assault to occur by allegedly telling the 14-year-old to allow it to happen.

According to court records, the boy and his parents reported the rape to the Sequoyah County Sheriff's office July 25. The boy's mother told investigators that Teresa Delancy came to their home north of Vian on July 23 and asked if the boy could spend the night with her and her husband. The boy's mother gave permission, but said for him to return home the next day.
I wonder if the mother of the boy could be considered criminally negligent. She gave permission for him to spend the night with the alleged beer-drinking sex perverts.
