Arkansas Teacher Caught in Drug Scheme

(Harrisburg, Arkansas) In October 2008, a 54-year-old teacher at Trumann Alternative School, Pam Bradsher, was arrested for allegedly engaging in a drug swap scheme with a 16-year-old student. Reportedly, Bradsher wanted to trade one narcotic pill for another, Hydrocodone for Xanax.

Authorities were alerted by the student's mother. Bradsher was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and solicitation to contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was released on bond.

Earlier this month, Bradsher was arrested again in a separate case for alleged solicitation to commit delivery of a controlled substance. Again, she was released on bond.

Circuit Judge Graham Partlow has set a trial date of March 9th before Circuit Judge David Laser. Bradsher maintains that she is innocent of the charges.

Trumann is a small community in northeast Arkansas between Memphis, TN, and Jonesboro, AR.
