Iran Jails "Blood-Sucking Satanists"

(Shiraz, Iran) Reportedly, Iranian authorities link heavy-metal music with Satanism.
IRAN has arrested more than 100 "Satan-worshippers" in a raid on a concert in the southern city of Shiraz where people were drinking alcohol and "sucking blood", a newspaper reports.

"One hundred and four members of a Satan-worshipping group were arrested at a party and immoral concert in Shiraz," local Revolutionary Guards chief Abbas Hamidi was quoted as saying by Jam-e Jam newspaper.
The arrests were made by the Islamist basij militia.
Jam-e Jam carried pictures of drum sets and amplifiers seized in the raid and a group of young men photographed after the arrest sitting on the floor of an officiAl (sic) looking building with their backs to the camera.

It said some of the detainees sported tattoos and body art resembling the wings of birds and car emblems.
Drum sets, amplifiers and tattoos of birds and car emblems are apparently sufficient evidence of devil-worship to get one arrested in Iran. Heh.

The fact that Iranian authorities jail heavy-metal followers as satan-worshippers is hardly surprising but, I'm stunned that a heavy-metal concert was even allowed to occur in Islamic Iran. And, assuming they weren't home-grown, how did tattooed heavy-metal devil-worshippers even get into Iran?
