California Teacher and Male Student

(Clovis, California) A 28-year-old science teacher at Clovis High School, Lindsey Trimble, has been accused of engaging in sex with a 17-year-old male student.

Trimble faces charges of sex with a minor and oral copulation.
Police launched an investigation after Clovis Unified reported possible inappropriate behavior by a teacher, police spokeswoman Janet Stoll-Lee said.

Detectives believe the crimes took place off campus -- at homes in Fresno County -- between March and July.

The case is still under investigation, but it's believed that only one student -- a 17-year-old boy -- was involved, Stoll-Lee said.
Trimble was booked and released on $55,000 bail.

I must admit, I still don't fully understand what drives an adult woman to have a "romance" with a child/teenager.

Immaturity? Ability to be in "control" of relationship? Starving for attention? Sexual degeneracy? Immorality? Inability to have a meaningful relationship with an adult man?

    All of the above?

She's probably immature for her age while the "victim" is older looking and more sophisticated than most 17 year olds. Chronological age often doesn't correspond to emotional maturity.
