Illinois Teacher Accused of Sex with Male Teen

(Mossville, Illinois) A 22-year-old gifted education teacher at Mossville Junior High and Elementary School, Kayla Trueblood, has been accused of engaging in sex with a male teen student.

Trueblood has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

The alleged victim is a 16-year-old boy and a student at Illinois Valley Central High School. According to the Peoria County Sheriff's Department, he is not a student of Trueblood's.

One alleged incident of abuse happened at Mossville Elementary after school hours.

Trueblood was booked into custody at the Peoria County Jail.
