(Colorado Springs, Colorado) A 52-year-old local woman, Donna Kaiser-Anderson, has been accused of shooting and killing her husband, 51-year-old William "Bill" Coffey who had been shot 19 times.
Kaiser-Anderson faces a charge of second-degree murder.
Kaiser-Anderson's preliminary hearing began with friends and relatives in attendance as investigators went about their task of describing what they saw on the evening Jan. 4, when they responded to investigate the homicide.Details on booking are unavailable.
In what has been described as intense and gruesome testimony, investigators gave gory details of what they found. They testified about bloody drag marks on the floor leading from the kitchen to the bedroom. Coffey's body was found in a bedroom along with the body of Kaiser-Anderson's mother who was reportedly found dead in bed and covered with a sheet.
Authorities have only charged Kaiser-Anderson with the death of her husband. No information has been released at this time about the mother's cause of death and police officials have declined to discuss the matter. To further stem the flow of information about the case, Judge Maria Prudek issued a gag order on the case.
