THREE MUMMIFIED INFANTS FOUND

A gruesome mystery is being investigated in Brownwood, Texas.
Homeowners remodeling their house in southwest Brown County discovered the mummified body of an infant in a sack Thursday afternoon, and authorities learned Friday that two other sacks in the home also contained infants' bodies.

"We have a total of three. Right now we do have three infant babies," Brown County Sheriff's investigator Scott Martin said.

Investigators did not know the infants' identities or how they died, but are considering the case a homicide, Martin and Chief Sheriff's Deputy Mike McCoy said Saturday.

McCoy said, however, "We have some suspects. We have a direction we're going to start in."
The remains appear to be of newborns and sex could not be immediately determined due to the state of mummification. A forensic anthropologist has been called in to perform an evaluation. The Texas Rangers are assisting.

This type of story happens way too often. It gives me the creeps, just in time for Halloween.
