Rat Invasions
(Cleveland, Ohio) Authorities are reporting rat invasions throughout Cleveland and surrounding communities. Rats are routinely moving into yards, burrowing beneath doghouses, sheds, sidewalks, and hiding out in woodpiles. They are even entering homes through toilets. After a previous rat invasion, Denise Roberts of Euclid "installed a baffle that allows the toilet to flush but won't let in another adventurous rat." I'm a little curious how that would work.
Interestingly, animal experts state that the rats are invading due to an abundant food supply being available. This is occurring in the city deemed to have the highest rate of poverty in the nation. So, everybody seems to be starving but the rats.
