Teacher Fired for Sex with Student in 1977

(Clatskanie, Washington) Clatskanie High School teacher, Chip Waisanen, 54, was fired last month after a former student came forward and alleged having a sexual relationship with him in 1977 when she was 16 years old. The woman, now 44, claims that Waisanen had "groomed her for a sexual encounter." Waisanen is appealing his dismissal.

The woman says she is sorry it took so many years to come forward.

Frankly, I think there is something screwy about this case. If I've got a rock in my boot, I guarantee that I wouldn't walk around for 28 years before removing it. Essentially, that is what this alleged victim did.
