Frozen Body Case

(Bountiful, Utah) Police are searching for 18-year-old Jeremy Hauck who is a suspect in a homicide. A frozen body was found in the condo Hauck shared with his mother, 50-year-old Laura Hauck.

From DeseretNews.com:
"We're still not sure who's in the freezer, but the detectives feel (Jeremy Hauck) is alive," Lt. Randy Pickett said Tuesday.

Hauck is believed to be driving his mother's blue 2001 Toyota Corolla with temporary tags, mag wheels and a sunroof.

The ATL [attempt-to-locate] broadcast suggested that Hauck may be suicidal or attempt suicide by cop. It also said he was armed.

"In the condo, they found empty boxes of .223 ammo," Bountiful Police Lt. Randy Pickett said. "There's a possibility he has 40 rounds with him."

However, police said they still had not identified the body found inside the freezer. Crime scene investigators took the freezer -- with the body still inside -- to the state medical examiner's office where it continues to thaw.
Police estimate the body was in the freezer at least three days.
