Grisham was charged with felony improper relations with a student and released on $25,000 bond. She resigned her position with the school system.
Earlier today, Ashley Grisham pleaded guilty in accordance with a plea agreement and was sentenced to six years probation. She was also fined $2,000, ordered to perform 500 hours of community service and directed to undergo psychiatric evaluation and counseling. Her Louisiana teaching credentials have been revoked for life.
In related news, fellow Waskom High School teacher Daryl Phillips, 31, who was arrested concurrent with Grisham and faces similar charges, is awaiting trial.
