Teacher's Aide, 41, Boy, 14, Hubba-Hubba

(Battle Creek, Michigan) A 41-year-old teacher's aide at Wilson Elementary School, Laura Cruz, was arrested Monday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy. Court records indicate that Cruz and the boy had sex on two occasions last summer.

Cruz is expected to appear in court later this month.

Cruz waived her preliminary hearing before Calhoun County District Judge Marvin Ratner and will stand trial. She faces two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. She has been released on bond.
