Eating high levels of some soy products, including tofu and other so-called 'superfoods,' may increase memory loss, scientists say.The researchers' findings will be published in this month's journal Dementias And Geriatric Cognitive Disorders.
Experts funded by the Alzheimer's Research Trust found a 20 per cent lower level of brain functioning compared with those eating very little of the product.
They are warning older people, particularly women and vegetarians, of the possible risks of consuming tofu and similar foods too frequently.
Interestingly, I've read that marijuana users also suffer from poor memory functioning so it might be worthwhile to conduct a study of dope-smoking tofu-eaters to see if soy/marijuana-derived dumbness is achievable. My guess is that it is.
