Arizona Teacher Arrested for Sex with Boy

(Phoenix, Arizona) A 49-year-old teacher at Ed Pastor Elementary School, Rosanna Brown, was arrested Saturday at a Best Western Hotel for allegedly luring a 14-year-old boy by text messages into circumstances to have sex with her.

According to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Brown has been charged with suspicion of crimes against children involving sexual conduct with a minor.

Brown had checked into the hotel on Saturday and when the boy arrived at the hotel, he claimed the room was dark, and believed he was having sex with a teenage girl, Arpaio said. But then the boy realized it was his English teacher. [...]

After the boy left the room, he told his mother, who came to the hotel and confronted Brown, Arpaio said.

When deputies arrived at the hotel, Brown was hiding in a bathroom before she was taken away in handcuffs, Arpaio said.

Brown was booked into custody without bond.

Brown says she had sex with the boy to prevent him from sleeping with his girlfriend. The girlfriend is Brown's goddaughter.
