WV Teacher Sex Case Dismissed - Updated

(Elkins, West Virginia) The case against 7th-grade teacher Autumn Faulkner has been dismissed. Reportedly, grand jury evidence was tainted.

(Elkins, West Virginia) A 26-year-old seventh-grade teacher at Elkins Middle School, Autumn Faulkner, was arrested yesterday for allegedly engaging in sex with a 15-year-old male student.

Her arrest came after an anonymous tip to the Department of Health and Human Resources.

State Police Sgt. G.L. Stalnaker says the boy's parents apparently did not know about the relationship, which had been going on since at least last year.

Faulkner was booked into custody at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bond set at $50,000.
