British Sex Offender Registration Erasure

(London, England) The British High Court has ruled that convicted sex offenders required to be placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life are being denied their basic human rights defined in Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
The court ruled the 2003 Sexual Offenders Act was incompatible with a criminal's right to a private and family life under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
It's not clear why criminals are given rights to a "private and family life" nor what that even means, but the ruling will allow pedophiles and rapists to have their names removed from the Sex Offender Register.

It appears that the justices on the High Court have bought into the generally false belief that sex offenders can be rehabilitated. I contend that the justices are dead nuts wrong.

In any event, look for future reports of people being victimized by sex offenders whose names were removed from the register. Also expect some sex criminals, no longer monitored by law enforcers, to surreptitiously show up as employees of schools, daycare centers and summer camps.
