Texas Woman Jailed for Sex with Boy

(Rancho Viejo, Texas) A 19-year-old local woman, Rebecca Jael Ruiz, has been arrested for allegedly engaging in sex with a 13-year-old boy. Ruiz faces a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Court records show that Ruiz had contact with the boy because she was a family friend.

The boy’s mother and father reported the crime to police on August 26th.

An investigation revealed that Ruiz told a friend via text message that she may be pregnant due to the sexual encounter with the boy.

Ruiz was booked into custody with bond set at $35,000.
