Woman with Three Husbands

(Benton, Louisiana) A 35-year-old Bossier City woman, Bridget Mize, has been accused of having three husbands at the same time. She faces two counts of bigamy.

Bossier Parish sheriff's deputies said Mize never got a divorce but never lived with any of her husbands at the same time, either.

"She admitted she knew she was not divorced from these first two men," sheriff's Lt. Ed Baswell said. "One of the reasons she didn't get a divorce was at the particular time she didn't have the money -- plus she just didn't take care of her business."

Marriage licenses show Mize was married in Dallas in 1993; in Caddo Parish in 2005; and in Columbia County, Ark., in 2007. The third marriage happened while her second husband was serving a DWI sentence in Bossier Parish, court records show.

Mize was booked into custody and subsequently released on $2,500.
