(St. George, Utah) An 18-year-old Springdale woman, Kymmeri Laceigh Smith, was arrested last Saturday for allegedly engaging in sex with a child under the age of 14.Smith faces charges of rape and rape of a child.
Rape of a child is a first degree felony punishable by 25 years to life in prison, or life without parole if the defendant is found to have caused serious bodily injury or has been previously convicted of a grievous sexual offense.Smith was booked into custody at Purgatory Correctional Facility in Hurricane with bond set at $30,000.
