Carolina Woman Accused of Sex with Child

(Alamance County, North Carolina) A 22-year-old local woman, Emily Gabrielle Sykes, has been accused of engaging in sex with a child at least six years younger than herself.

Sykes faces one count each of statutory sex offense of a child and indecent liberties with a child.

The alleged incidents occurred in the northern part of the county.

An investigation was initiated after the sheriff’s department received a report from the Alamance County Department of Social Services.

Sykes was booked into custody at the Alamance County Jail with bond set at $75,000.
