Louisiana Teacher Accused of Sex with Juvenile

(Pineville, Louisiana) A 27-year-old teacher at Tioga High School, Heather Michelle Cooksey, has been accused of engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior with a student.

Cooksey was arrested and charged with two counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Cooksey was taken into custody and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center. Bond has been set at $10,000. The investigation is still ongoing.

Details are lacking but being charged with two criminal counts would seem to indicate two victims or two separate sexual events.
