Porn Website at Indiana University

(Bloomington, Indiana) An Indiana University freshman student named Keira is posting topless and semi-nude pictures on her website to earn money for college expenses. The adult website is reported to originate from her dormitory room on the school's Bloomington campus. According to this story, the Office of Student Ethics will meet with Dean of Students Richard McKaig to determine whether to pursue an investigation into unauthorized use of the University's name or space. Keira faces possible probation or expulsion.

In my research, I found the website's content to be fairly tame as pornography and it's probably overpriced at $25 per month. However, from a public image perspective, university officials would be wise find a way to put distance between the site of higher learning and the site of prurient pandering. Of course, since IU has been voted the "Best Party School" by the Princeton Review, maybe pornography is a welcome addition to their overall recruiting program.

[Update 4/16/04] Keira just now appeared on the Bill O'Reilly cable news program. It was revealed that her real name is September Harness and nobody has bothered her because she's been in the news recently. O'Reilly expressed a tsk, tsk attitude towards her.
