Chiquita Subsidiary Funding Terrorists

(Cincinnati, OH) According to a report in the Dayton Daily News, Chiquita Brands International Inc. informed the US Justice Department yesterday that its Colombian banana producing subsidiary made payments to foreign terrorist organizations. The company said it is cooperating with the Justice Department investigation. No information is provided concerning the connection between bananas and terrorism.
