Massive Death Toll From Heat Wave
(San Francisco, California) According to a study by the Union of Concerned Scientists, a premier American scare factory, thousands of people in San Francisco are going to die from global warming. In a San Francisco Chronicle article peppered with "may," "might," and similar verbs, the co-author of the study, Susanne C. Moser, indicates that the State of California must immediately institute stricter motor vehicle emission standards to ward off the impending catastrophe. Of note is that the death toll of thousands is not expected to occur until the 2090s.
Interestingly, the Union of Concerned Scientists seems to be fairly certain about what is going to occur 90 years from now while at the same time, meteorologists are not sure what Hurricane Ivan is going to do tomorrow. There are many people on their way back to southern Florida after complying with an unnecessary evacuation order. In other words, one group of scientists with the capability of actually seeing, via radar and photographs, a climatological phenomenon, cannot predict precisely what is going to happen from one day to the next, while other scientists, without the capability to see their climatological phenomenon, are predicting what's going to happen several human generations from now.
