For the second time, a group calling itself TeAmZ USA has hacked into Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi's web site to stop some of the incendiary propaganda. And, as before, it's back on line. Interestingly, from Rusty Shackleford we learn that not everyone is anxious to see the website out of commission.
I received an e-mail message from a reader who was outraged by what he saw on the Zarqawi website. In fact, he was so outraged that he decided to give the webhost a call and complain. It's speculated that this means intelligence services are using the website to track down Zarqawi's location. If this is true, I hope they're successful. On the other hand, it seems that having avenues for sensationalism is fostering escalation of the atrocities and, as such, the website should be shut down. I think Al-Jazeera should be reined in also.
Eventually, the company responded and said that they were aware of Zarqawi's website on their host and had numerous complaints. But they reassured my reader with this cryptic message, that "people at the highest level had asked them to keep the website up."
