Pledges Pour In

According to The Australian, aid pledged to tsunami relief is now between $3 billion and $4 billion. Jan Egeland, the UN Emergency Relief Coordinator, said that it is not possible to keep track of the contributions that are pouring in but he hoped to show that the UN can really coordinate for the community of nations.

Given their success with the oil-for-food program, I'm sure they will find coordinated places to put the money.
