(Bay City, Texas) It must be an epidemic. Another female teacher has been arrested and charged with sexual molestation of a male student. According to the Matagorda County District Attorney's Office, Bay City High School English teacher Janay Jill Willson, 31, is accused of two felony counts of sexual assault with a 16-year-old male student.

Willson, a nine-year veteran teacher at Bay City High School, allegedly had sex with the student during Dec. 1999 and Jan. 2000 and it became known in 2004. She was suspended from teaching in Oct. 2004 and resigned her position just before Christmas. The student has graduated. After her arrest this week, Willson posted $40,000 bond and was released. If convicted of the charges against her, Willson faces a possible 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
An odd twist in the story is that officials are awaiting the results of paternity testing on one of Willson's children to determine if the student is the father. And, of course, we must now add Janay Willson's name to the previously discussed roster of female teachers who sexually molest children.
