(Sevierville, Tennessee) Former biology teacher at Seymour High School, Kristi Dance Oakes, 32, charged with statutory rape of a 16-year-old boy, appeared in court today to hear the ruling on her request for judicial diversion. Circuit Court Judge Richard Vance turned down the request. The judicial diversion would have allowed the charges to be dropped provided Oakes complied with court orders for a specific period of time.
