Kerry Keeps Campaigning

Somebody needs to tell Sen. John Kerry that the election is done, complete, over, finished. Otherwise , he'll keep saying the exact same things that he said on the run up to last year's losing effort. Yesterday, at a townhall-style meeting with a few dozen seniors in Massachusetts, Sen. Kerry said,
"The next time one of those conservative senators or congressmen comes to you and starts talking to you about American values, I want you to look him in the eye and say, what is the value that is represented in providing the wealthiest people in America with a great big tax cut at the expense of the poorest people in the country?"

"I went back and reread the New Testament the other day, and I've got news for you. Nowhere in the three-year ministry of Jesus Christ is there any suggestion at all that you ought to take from the poor and give to the rich and leave children at risk," he said to a loud round of applause.
The applause is understandable. It's Massachusetts.

What's not understandable, though, is that Kerry has no new ideas to promote. He spent the better part of a couple years before the election espousing the same mantra. It didn't work then, so why does he think it will work now?

Maybe he's trying to shore up his base.
