Updating a previous report about the plane crash in Greece, Cypriot police raided the offices of Helios Airways to search for evidence of a "possible criminal offence" (sic). Apparently, there has been a history of complaints about the airline. A total of 115 passengers and six crew were killed in the crash.
In Salonika, a man was arrested on suspicion of creating a hoax with his claim that he received a chilling text message from a passenger on the plane before it crashed.
He has reportedly confessed to fraudulently claiming he received a text message from a cousin on board the flight. If this guy actually perpetrated a hoax in the middle of a tragic occurrence, somebody ought to regularly smack the sick bastard, every day he's in prison and at least weekly after he gets out.
The man told private television Alpha that the text carried the following message: "We're cold. The pilot is blue. We're going to die. Farewell."
