Roadside Bomb Kills 14 Ohio Marines

Insurgents blew up a U.S. assault vehicle in western Iraq Wednesday, killing 14 Marines and a civilian interpreter in the deadliest roadside bomb attack against American forces since the war began.

According to U.S. Central Command, 14 Marines and a civilian interpreter, assigned to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), were killed in action early Wednesday morning when their amphibious assault vehicle was attacked by an improvised explosive device (IED).
The victims' names have not been released. Over the last three days, 20 U.S. Marines from the same unit have been killed in action.
