(Great Falls, Montana) When she found out that the police wanted to arrest her for rape of a 14-year-old boy, 41-year-old middle school teacher's aide Michele Malady skipped town.
From the Billings Gazette:
Michele Malady, a mother of three, was in jail on $75,000 bail awaiting extradition from Whitefish to Great Falls, police said.Court documents indicate that Michele Malady told her husband that she was in love with someone who was 27 years younger than herself and the husband told police that he heard his wife and the boy having sex. The relationship was also confirmed by the 14-year-old.
She fled Thursday after learning police were looking for her and was arrested in the northwestern Montana community without incident, the Cascade County attorney's office said.
Malady apparently met the boy through one of her teenage children, not through her job with the Great Falls School District, Detective Eric Baumann said.
The most bothersome aspect of this case is that Malady used her kids' peer group as a dating pool. How sick is that?
