Who Moved The Cheese?

(Quebec, Canada) If one wonders how there can be so many different types of cheese, it's because manufacturers are persistent in searching for new ways to make it. Here's an experiment that apparently failed.

From the CBC News:
A Quebec cheese company has lost its sunken cheese. La Fromagerie Boivin was attempting to make its cheese taste better by submerging it underwater.

Last year the company dropped 800 kg of cheese into the Saguenay fjord, north of Quebec City.

Being 50 metres underwater was supposed to produce a cheese that would taste unique. But the company is having trouble finding its sunken cheese.
Using divers and high-tech tracking equipment failed to solve the mystery of the missing cheese. The company is writing it off as a $50,000 loss. Interestingly, if one does the math, the cheese is valued at $62.50 per kilogram (more than $28.00 per pound). Man, that's some expensive cheese!

Furthermore, as I recall, the only difference between cheese and fish bait is the spelling. Consequently, I think it's completely ludicrous to believe you can submerge a ton of cheese in the ocean and not expect it to be devoured by the sea life.
