Try it yourself. Just put in a URL and find out how high in the hierarchy a particular web page ranks in Google search results. The higher the number, the closer to number 1 a page appears in a given search. I'm sure other factors are considered since many web sites are ranked the same.
Naturally, I checked my own and others. Google.com is at Rank 10, Yahoo! and AOL get a Rank 9, and Instapundit came in at Rank 7. Interested-Participant is a Rank 6.
