Russian SAMs to Iran

Russian Tactical SAMRussia has sealed a deal to provide Iran with mobile, integrated surface-to-air missile systems worth a reported $1 billion.

From Mosnews.com:
Iran has signed a deal to buy Russian tactical surface-to-air missile systems.

Iran plans to buy 29 TOR-M1 systems designed to bring down aircraft and guided missiles at low altitudes, Reuters reported.

The deal is the biggest sale of Russian defense hardware to Iran for about five years.
The TOR-M1 missile system is designed for operation at medium, low, and very low altitudes, against aircraft, UAVs, and guided missiles. The missile carries a 15kg high-explosive warhead and is designed to operate in an intense jamming environment.

I hope that someone keeps an accurate database of the number of these weapons, who has them, and their likely locations. Interestingly, although the Russian SAM is designed for an intense jamming environment, it doesn't match up well with the American SAM which is designed to repel all jamming attempts.
