Why Me?

I just got an email that begs me to jump up and join an effort to stop Judge Alito from being confirmed by the Senate. It appears to have originated from MoveOn.org and came to me via an environmental activist. The sender, identified as wethepeople@emailtocongress.com, tells me that I have to act to save the country from the new American dictatorship.

Now, it's obvious to me that the people sending the email haven't read Interested-Participant. Had they, they would know that I consider leftists to be socialists in liberal skins. They would also know that I believe socialism is a proven method to guarantee poverty and the loss of freedom. And, lastly, my unqualified support for Judge Alito would be quite apparent.

Their mailing list needs to be vetted. Even so, I have to wonder how I ended up on it in the first place.
