The Lulu Blooker Prize 

Apparently, if one has a blog and turns it into a book, a blook is created. Cute, eh? And news to me. Also news is that a literary prize has been created to recognize the best blooks. The prize is sponsored by Lulu, a self-publishing firm. A cash award goes to the winner, to be announced April 3.

So, for those that believe that their blogged blarney belongs in a book, contact Lulu. However, it's noteworthy to remember what Little, Brown Executive Editor Judy Clain says, "I don't think a blog is a great place to look for new writers, because there are so many, and so many aren't very good."
