Muslim Cleric Wants Gay Perverts Punished

According to Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi, the religion of peace does have limits regarding tolerance toward alternative lifestyles.

From YnetNews.com:
Top Muslim Brotherhood cleric Yusuf Qaradawi told Arabic satellite channel al-Jazeera that homosexuals were 'perverts' who deserve to be 'punished.'
Sheikh Qaradawi stated that the schools of thought about punishment for perverts vary but should include being thrown from high places or burned. In addition, Qaradawi threw in a bit of political commentary in his discussion with al-Jazeera.
The leading Muslim scholar also claimed that former Democratic contender for the US presidency, John Kerry, was "supported by homosexuals and nudists."

"But it was Bush who won (the elections), because he is Christian, right-wing, tenacious, and unyielding. In other words, the religious overcame the perverted. So we cannot blame all Americans and Westerners," Qaradawi added.
I'm likely not the only person who thinks it's odd for Qaradawi to lump homosexuals and nudists together. The nudists are typically not known to be a significant factor in national elections.

It's also strange that Qaradawi appears to express favoritism between everyday Christian infidels and homosexuals, ostensibly preferring the former. Based on recent history, radical Islamists show no favorites. When it comes to throwing people from heights, burning them, or blowing them up, anyone who is non-Muslim is a target.
