Huge Fire at Recycling Plant

Oh darn! How are we going to save the planet?

AMHERSTBURG -- A huge fire at a recycling plant near Windsor is sending up clouds of potentially toxic black smoke that can be seen as far away as Detroit.

Fire officials say foam and plastic materials in the garbage outside the plant in Amherstburg are fuelling the blaze.

Area residents say police are advising them to evacuate their homes for the night, but aren't ordering them to do so.

Residents have also been told to stay indoors, close their windows, and turn off their air conditioners.

And the garbage! We've lost all the precious recyclables. What can we possibly do?

I know. We must ask for forgiveness from Gaia, our Earth Mother. Quick! Sacrifice some virgins!
