Forget about Margaritaville. You are now entering Loserville.
From Chieftain.com:
The "check-out" line is taking on a whole new meaning at Milwaukee's Metro Market, which hosted its first Singles Night from 10 p.m. to midnight on a recent Friday. That means that during after-hours (the store is usually closed at 10 p.m.) shoppers can pick up phone numbers along with a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk.Wow! It's free to go to the grocery store!
It works like this: Singles just show up. It's free. Each person gets a number to wear and a name tag.
I'm personally flummoxed as to why someone would need a number and a name tag. One or the other should suffice. Of course, it would make some sense if everybody was also given a T-shirt displaying "I troll grocery stores, kick me." And, although it probably won't make a bit of difference, it's recommended that one not fill his/her cart with frozen pizza, beer, and cat food.
