Bin Laden's Brother-in-Law Killed

(Madagascar) Jamal Khalifa, brother-in-law of Osama bin Laden, was killed by unidentified gunmen in an attack on his home in Madagascar. According to Jamal's brother, Malek Khalifa, the motive appeared to be a robbery.

From Khaleej Times:
Malek said a gang of 20 to 30 gunmen broke into his brother's bedroom on Tuesday, shot him dead "in cold blood" and stole his belongings.
It's reported that Jamal was a legit businessman who mined and traded precious stones in Madagascar.

On the other hand, it's also reported that Jamal allegedly helped finance Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) terrorists linked to al-Qaeda in the Philippines. Additionally, it's said that Jamal had no links to bin Laden, however, if he had ties to ASG and ASG is linked to al-Qaeda, it's hard to dispute at least a distant link to bin Laden.

Personally, I suspect Jamal was hip-deep in laundering money for terrorists. As a gem trader, it is just too easy.
