Doper Parents

(Hanover, Pennsylvania) About two weeks ago, 44-year-old Angela Marie Reichart was arrested after admitting to police that she smoked marijuana with her 11-year-old son to discourage him from trying harder drugs. During a search of Reichart's house, police found 18 marijuana plants growing in a bedroom.

Reichart has been charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, manufacture of marijuana, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of minors. She is being held in Adams County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bail.

Reichart's case follows the case of 30-year-old Amanda Lynn Livelsberger who was sentenced to three months in prison for smoking marijuana with her son and his friends, all minors. She claimed the marijuana was a reward for her son doing his homework.

Awaiting trial in Perry County is 42-year-old Tammy McPherson who is accused of giving marijuana to her son on three occasions, ostensibly so the boy would not like it nor grow it. She faces charges, along with 42-year-old boyfriend Lawrence Myers, of unlawful delivery, criminal conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal conspiracy.

Teach your children well.
