Principal - Teacher Sex Video

(Cook County, Illinois) Police are in a dilemma trying to figure out who has been victimized after a sex video surfaced which showed a school principal in his office doing the prohibited nasty with a teacher and a teacher's aide.

From SunTimes.com:
Sandridge Elementary Principal Leroy Coleman resigned, citing health problems, and teacher Janet Loften resigned, citing a family illness, after school officials confronted them about their activities in a 2 1/2-hour DVD that surfaced this week.

The video, apparently made with a camera hidden in the ceiling of Coleman's office, captures a mostly clothed couple in a variety of positions and in an assortment of sexual acts, including some at the edge of a desk covered with carefully stacked papers. A second woman also appears on the video separately with Coleman, according to officials who saw the DVD.
The teacher's aide wasn't identified, however, she quit her job on Friday without giving an explanation.
John Izzo, attorney for Sandridge School District 172, noted that the sex romps were recorded in December and January, but the DVD didn't start to appear in mailboxes of the media and parents until Wednesday.
Since there was a delay between production of the video and the release, it's believed by some that the person who made and distributed the DVD is attempting to influence the outcome of a contentious school board election next Tuesday. In other words, the video is the result of political shenanigans.

Regarding the boffers, there are likely some moral turpitude provisions in the employment contracts of the educators that were violated and, on that basis, termination of employment could be justified. Sex romps are surely not in anyone's job description. However, since the performers involved have already quit their jobs, it's not clear whether any other consequences will be forthcoming.

[Update 04/17/07]

According to another report, the teacher's aide is named Anjayla Reed. Also, teacher Janet Loften has been identified as 41-year-old Janet Lofton. It's not clear which spelling is correct.

Meanwhile, Principal Coleman wants to see prosecution of the individuals who took the video.
"Without denigrating my wrongdoing and my acceptance of responsibility, the persons who invaded my privacy need to be held accountable," Coleman said. "It is not for me to comment on the motivation of the persons who knew or should have known of the placement of the video camera on District 172 property. While my actions have hurt my wife, their actions have hurt my family, friends and a lifetime of educating children."
With Coleman's resignation, Sandridge will have a substitute principal for the rest of the school year.
