Drunk Illegal Caused Fatal Crash

(Nashville, Tennessee) A 22-year-old Tennessee State University student, Joycelyn Gardiner, was killed last Saturday when her car was broadsided by a Ford Expedition driven by an allegedly drunken and belligerent illegal alien Mexican, Victor Javier Benitez, 24.

Gardiner was set to graduate from TSU in August with a degree in criminal justice. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

According to investigators, Benitez ran a red light and made no effort to brake prior to plowing into Gardiner's car. Benitez suffered a head laceration and a broken rib. He faces a charge of vehicular homicide.

For the record, Benitez was nabbed in February 2006 on three counts of auto burglary and sentenced to one year of probation. In November 2006, Benitez spent a week in jail for public intoxication, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

People are questioning why Benitez wasn't deported. I'm one of them but, frankly, I don't think it would have made a difference. Deporting illegals is a waste of time because they quickly return through the imaginary southern border. As an example, I recently heard about one guy that Sheriff Arpaio in Arizona arrested who had been deported five times. A lot of good it did.
