Foster Mom and Foster Son

(Lincoln, Nebraska) A 37-year-old woman and foster mom was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy in her care.

Court records show that the boy was placed with the woman and her husband in September 2002. He stayed until May 2004, when he began to run away and cause other problems. He was again placed in the woman's home in May 2005.

The following month, he told police about the alleged assaults, officers said. The woman denied the boy's story and was not charged.

In January, the boy gave police more information, including a recording of two meetings with her.

She was arrested last week and jailed on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault.

Identities in the case have not been disclosed in order to protect the innocent.
