(Ellsworth, Wisconsin) Earlier today, 39-year-old substitute teacher Anne Knopf was convicted of felony sexual assault of a child stemming from engaging in sex with a 13-year-old male student.
Anne Knopf was told today to stay away from the 13-year-old victim or other boys under the age of 18 for five years. She was also sentenced to nine months jail and told to register as a sexual offender. It's still unknown how a 39-year-old woman could be attracted to a 13-year-old boy. And I'm convinced that a 39-year-old man would have received more than 9 months in jail if he were found having sex with a 13-year-old girl.
She had sex with a seventh grade boy several times over a four-month span in 2007, according to court records. The two would exchange emails or instant messages arranging their meetings.

(Ellsworth, Wisconsin) Last month, a 39-year-old substitute teacher at Prescott Middle School, Anne Knopf, was charged with second-degree sexual assault for allegedly engaging in sex with a 13-year-old male student.
The student's father alleged he found the two together at a late-night rendezvous after the boy stole his mother's car.At a court appearance yesterday, a judge ordered Knopf to stand trial.
The father filed a restraining order which claims the two had sexual intercourse. He said he has copies of e-mails between the two.
The criminal complaint states the boy drove his mother's vehicle to Knopf's rural Ellsworth home, once a week, for about four or five weeks.Knopf is free on bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 20th when Knopf will plead not guilty, according to her lawyer.
Court records show this happened between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., when the two would kiss and have sex.
The complaint also states the two would e-mail and instant message each other.
For the past two years, Knopf worked as a substitute teacher in the Prescott School District, including at the middle school, where the boy is a student.
"Nothing indicates anything happened at school but having found out the allegations, we take them very seriously," said Prescott School District Superintendent Roger Hulne. "She's a substitute teacher and we suspended her immediately from the school district."
Hulne says that suspension later turned into a termination: he says Knopf no longer works for the district.
