Wisconsin Teacher Sentenced for Sex with Boy

(Polk County, Wisconsin) Brenda Baillargeon, 40, was sentenced this morning to one year in the county jail and 15 years probation for engaging in sex with a 16-year-old male student.

She was scheduled to begin her county jail sentence, a condition of probation, the same day as sentencing, July 15, at 5 p.m. She must serve 365 days, with no credit for any previous time in jail, the judge noted. If she violates probation during the next 15 years, she will be sentenced to serve five years in prison.

Baillargeon must also register as a sex offender and complete sex offender treatment.

According to court records, the 16-year-old was Baillargeon's first love and she planned on marrying him after she got a divorce. Naturally, her plans have now changed.

Another source provides more details about married, mother-of-four Brenda Baillargeon.

The boy's family, according to the court's victim advocate, said they were satisfied with the outcome.

The teenager's mother became suspicious about the relationship last fall -- a relationship Baillargeon and the boy first denied to investigators. The mother obtained a restraining order, which Baillargeon repeatedly ignored.

She had sex with him at his home, at his grandfather's cabin, on a bench at a nearby park and at her cabin near Amery over the course of seven months, Steffen said.

Baillargeon also took him on trips and sneaked into his home in the early morning hours for sex, the court records said. He saved his summer earnings for an engagement ring, and after she got a divorce, they planned to marry and move to North Carolina, where he wanted to become a NASCAR mechanic.

Additionally, Baillargeon was banished from her hometown of Avery for 15 years. If she violates the banishment or any other terms of her probation, Baillargeon will go to prison for five years.

(Polk County, Wisconsin) A 39-year-old teacher's aide at Amery High School, Brenda Baillargeon, was arrested for allegedly engaging in sex with a 16-year-old boy.

Court documents show she and the 16 year-old boy had sex ten times and were engaged to be married. Court records show the teen's mother got a restraining order against Baillargeon, but the relationship continued.

The Amery School Administrator tells us she resigned September 27th and hasn't been back to school since.

Baillargeon faces charges of sexual assault of a student by school staff and child enticement with sexual contact. She also faces charges of knowingly violating a restraining order.

Baillargeon was booked into custody with bail set at $10,000. A court appearance is scheduled for tomorrow.

On Friday morning, Baillargeon entered no contest pleas for one count of sex assault of a student by school staff and one count of child enticement with sexual contact.

The judge dismissed three other felony charges.
