Woman Goes Wild in Iowa

(Des Moines, Iowa) A 22-year-old local woman, Shelbie Ann Zimmerman, was arrested this week for going wild in a neighborhood establishment called the Sunrise Tap.

She began stripping her clothes off and refused when told to stop. Zimmerman has been charged with public intoxication, criminal mischief and assault on a police officer.

Des Moines police officers were dispatched to the scene about 10:45PM Tuesday night.

When police arrived the woman was being held down by patrons and fire medics. Officers were informed that the woman grabbed a whiskey bottle and started smashing things, including a window.

Medics determined she was not seriously injured and the woman was taken into custody, screaming and thrashing about. While being placed in a squad car she allegedly kicked the door of a squad car pinning an officer in the opening and knocking him over.

Hmmm ... not very ladylike, I'd say.

Zimmerman was booked into custody at the Polk County Jail with bond set at $1,225.
